| Drake Rises at Crown; Palgon Departs In the latest realignment at Random House's Crown Publishing Group, David Drake has been promoted to senior v-p and deputy publisher and, among other changes, Michael Palgon, current executive v-p and deputy publisher, is leaving. Drake will assume his new post when Palgon departs, in March. Taking over many of Drake's former duties will be Carisa Hays, former Free Press publicity director. more » Amazon has acquired IVONA Software, a text-to-speech technology company whose products power the "Text-to-Speech," "Voice Guide" and "Explore by Touch" features on Kindle Fire tablets. Trident to Handle Digital Backlist of John Campbell Agency Trident Media Group, in a first deal of this kind, has agreed to handle the digital backlist of the John Campbell Agency. Trident will handle the sales of digital editions by all of John Campbell's authors through its e-Book Operations Department (which it launched in 2011). more » » Pastor and author Adam Hamilton delivered the sermon at the 57th Presidential Inaugural Prayer Service at the National Cathedral.
