PICTURE OF THE DAY

Main Street Books Adds Used Books
After 16 years as a new-book only general interest bookstore, Main Street Books in Mansfield, Ohio, is adding used books to its inventory. At the store's Sweet Sixteen birthday party at the beginning of the month, manager Llalan Fowler announced the change. "Many people come in every week asking for the used books. I'll be happy to have an answer to that question now," she said. "Bookstores are centers of culture, and incorporating used books will get even more people involved in the store's and the area's events." To build its used book selection, the store is asking for donations of gently used books. It plans to offer store credit for used books in the future.
