| Image to Release Book on New Pope in April Image Books is the first to announce a new book on Pope Francis, set to be published April 30. The as yet untitled book will be written by Robert Moynihan, founder and editor of Inside the Vatican, a monthly Catholic news magazine based in Rome. The hardcover book promises a look at the spiritual vision and teachings of Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Buenos Aires, the prelate elected pope by his fellow cardinals. more » The New England Independent Booksellers Association couldn't have chosen better timing for the workshop on "Planning Your Bookstore's Next Chapter," just one day after nine-year-old Porter Square Books in Cambridge, Mass., announced that was putting itself up for sale. Consortium Announces New Publishers for Distribution Consortium has announced six new publishers for the fall 2013 season: And Other Stories, Curbside Splendor Publishing, Gallic Books, GILES, Koyama Press, and Stockholm Text. Consortium begins representing these publishers on June 1, with the exception of Koyama Press and Stockholm Text's eBooks, both of which it will begin representing on April 1. more » Claire Vaye Watkins was the winner of this year's Story Prize, awarded to the best short story collection of 2012.
