| Judge Fast-Tracking Bookseller Suit Judge Jed Rakoff yesterday set an aggressive schedule in the Indie booksellers' suit against Amazon and the big six publishers, scheduling oral arguments for April and putting the case on track for an October trial. more » Medallion Media Group and Medallion Press have released MMG Sidekick app, an e-book reading app that will allow consumers to buy and read Medallion Press titles as well as DRM-free titles. The "You Are Next" tour, a nod to what the group calls "the next generation of books for the next generation of readers," launched in January, with visits to schools and bookstores in Las Vegas, and San Francisco, and Portland, Ore. LBYR Joins Storia Little, Brown Books for Young Readers is the latest publisher to add some of its titles to Storia, Scholastic's classroom-based, teacher-recommended e-reading app for kids. A selection of LBYR books, from picture books to young adult novels, will be available on Storia in late spring. more » With the tide of e-book sales rising fast, the number of million-selling digital titles has likewise swelled.
