| Scholastic's New Technology Programs Aimed at the Common Core Scholastic's newest generation of educational technology programs are all designed to meet the requirements of the Common Core State Standards. The publisher introduced the six new products at the start of the Education Innovation Summit being held at Arizona State University. Bancroft Press: A Baltimore Maverick In 20 years of publishing, Baltimore's Bancroft Press has produced a body of work that ranges from Fox News host Bill O'Reilly's first novel, Those Who Trespass, to its just-released first picture book. more » » A memorial service for longtime Knopf vice president and senior editor Ash Green will be held in New York at Cooper Union on Thursday, April 25 at 5:00 pm in the Great Hall. Authors Louise Erdrich and Jonathan Odell switched name cards during the finalists' meet-and-greet before the 25th annual Minnesota Book Awards gala event at the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis Saturday. Erdrich won the award in the adult fiction category for The Round House (HarperCollins); Odell was a finalist in the same category for The Healing (Random House/Nan A. Talese).
