The store is trying to raise $300,000 to purchase the Bibliobarn property in South Korthright, N.Y., which owners H.L. Wilson and Linda Wilson recently put up for sale, and turn it into what events/development head Zack Zook calls "the ultimate literary destination." The children of the owners of The BookHouse in Marion, Ia., show off a red Volvo driven by sales rep Eric Heidemann of Fujii Associates. The car is part of Abrams's "Wimpy Kid Drives Reading" marketing campaign, which has wrapped seven cars with artwork tied to the first seven books in Jeff Kinney's bestselling series.
